Alli' Starr is announced as backing vocalist to rapper, singer/songwriter Will Smith and will join him on tour next year!
Originally destined to become a mortician and join her family's business, Alli’ Starr found her true calling as a singer-songwriter, mesmerising audiences worldwide. Her impressive resume includes supporting iconic artists such as Tank, Ro James, Mya, Marsha Ambrosius, Lyfe Jennings, Avant, Phil Perry, Tony Terry, and Ronnie Laws. She has also headlined international venues across China, Brazil, Korea, and London. In Japan, she chose to remain for two years following the tragic Fukushima disaster and earthquake in 2011. Her remarkable performances include sharing the stage with Barbara Streisand at the MGM Grand and collaborating with Matt Goss and Bros.
Alli’ Starr's presence on stage is that of a seasoned veteran, exuding poise and professionalism that belies her age. Her vocal range and calibre consistently astonish audiences, bringing a classic style reminiscent of the great singers who paved the way before her. In 2015, she faced a significant personal challenge when diagnosed with Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT). Now equipped with a pacemaker to regulate her heart rate, Alli’ reflects on this period as a time of determination, driven by her love for her twins.
Alli’ Starr's career began at just 16 in Las Vegas, where she quickly established herself as a triple threat in the entertainment industry. Though based in Las Vegas, she continues to tour globally, opening for and singing alongside renowned artists such as Maxine Jones, Bobby Womack, Ollie Woodson, Raheem Devaughn, and Carl Thomas.
Her energy and talent have earned her a place as a featured singer for Barbara Streisand's backing group at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Despite her youth, she carries herself with the grace and presence of a seasoned artist. Each performance is a testament to her dedication and skill, leaving audiences in awe of the greatness unfolding before them.
Currently, Alli’ Starr sings backup for Evelyn Champagne King and collaborates with artists like DannyBoy and Keith Harris of the Black Eyed Peas. She also founded Las Vegas' first-ever live band karaoke, a unique entertainment experience. Her recent achievements include a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University, a nomination for a Hollywood Independent Music Award, and the release of a remix to her chart-topping song "Summertime" with Dizzy Wright. In 2023, she won the title of hottest singer with House of Vegas Pride and sang on Estelle’s Apple Music Radio show in November of that year.
